The Issue N°1 | September 24, 2026

Welcome to The Issue🥂

I created this framework a long time ago, back when my twenty-seven year old son was still in grade school and my days were too full to find the edges of. I made myself one simple deal. If I felt stylish and happy most days, that counted as a successful day.

Everything else was extra credit. Somewhere along the way that turned into subcategories, three under each, ways to bring Style and Happiness into Everyday things, and eventually into what you're reading right now.

Being in and around fashion and beauty for a long time taught me plenty, but that's not where this came from. It came from a too-much-to-do Tuesday, needing a plan that wouldn't overwhelm me. So here S.H.E. is…

The Lesson: S.H.E.

FashionSHEsta runs on three words. Style. Happiness. Everyday life.

Style is what you wear and how you wear it, built on Season, Trends, and Essentials. What's changing outside, what's worth paying attention to, and what you already own that still works.

Happiness is yours to build, built on Mindset, Relationships, and Routines. How you're thinking, who you're spending time on, and what your days actually look like.

Everyday life is where the first two actually happen. Home, Work, Play. The rooms you live in, the hours you spend, the moments that make up an ordinary Tuesday.

Here's how it looks in real life. Two Sundays ago, Eagles home opener. A throw on the couch, snacks out before kickoff, a few fall pieces mixed into the game day colors. Style. Happiness. Everyday life. Ten minutes, and the day was mine.

Nothing new. Just a few things pulled out and layered in.

Three words, working together, all the time. That's the whole idea. Every Thursday from here, we take one piece and go deep.

This week: Style

Season

Fall doesn't show up all at once. It arrives one sense at a time.

You see it first. Rust, camel, olive, deep burgundy. The trees start the conversation, and your closet can pick it right up.

Then you smell it. Woodsmoke on a cold morning. Cinnamon. The first pumpkin-spice candle you've been saving since you got it on sale last November.

You taste it. Apples that actually crunch. Butternut squash. Pumpkin in everything, and yes, the coffee counts.

You feel it. A chunky sweater. Suede ankle boots. The stylish scarf you forgot you owned until it turned up in the back of the coat closet.

And you hear it. Leaves under your riding boots. A game on in the other room.

Season is simply noticing all of it and letting it into your day. What you wear, what you light, what's simmering on the stove.

Real life, this week: Rain in the forecast, temperatures in the upper 60s, and a nor'easter that may come up the coast. That's the first real layering week. A sweater over a tee, boots that don't mind a puddle, and something warm on the stove when you get home.

So what does fall look, smell, and taste like at your house? Pick one sense and lean into it this week.

You just spent a whole section noticing fall. Now here’s what to do with it.

The FashionSHEsta Guide to Fall is 30 pages of Style, Happiness, and Everyday life for the season. What to pull out of your closet, what to bring into your home, and how to make an ordinary fall Tuesday feel like yours.

Free through September 30.

My welcome to fall, and to The Issue🥂

S.H.E. Says

A few things I'm loving this week.

Style. This week: Season. A camel coat that isn't trying too hard. The kind you'll still want in ten years, which is really the only test that matters. Buy the coat. You already know the one.

Happiness. This week: Mindset. A walk in actual fall air after a summer of humidity that overstayed its welcome. The kind of ten minutes that resets your whole head, no app required. Leave the phone. Nobody needs you for ten minutes, I promise.

Everyday life. This week: Home. Something in the crockpot before kickoff, because nobody's job on game day should be standing over a stove. Chili, pulled pork, whatever your people fight over come halftime. By the time anyone's hungry, the house already smells like you've got it handled.

One more thing. You're allowed to buy the coat, eat the good cheese on a Tuesday, and let the crockpot do the parenting for one afternoon. Nobody's grading this. Forward this to the friend who needs to hear it more than you do.

Next Thursday: Happiness, and Mindset leads the way.
